Impressive hors d’oeuvres are simple to make with this set of tin canapĂ© molds from Norpro. The kit includes three bread molds, one each of the following shapes: star, heart, and flower. The molds bake long loaves that can be thinly sliced and topped with various spreads or made into tiny sandwiches. Unlike the conventional canapĂ©-making method, in which you stamp slices of bread with cookie cutters, these practical tins won’t leave you with a stack of leftover crusts. Hand washing is recommended.

Part 2 of where I go through the process of baking whole wheat bread using some of the hard white wheat I recently picked up at the LDS Cannery. I finally received the dry grains container for my Vitamix 5200 Professional variable speed mixer. Join me as I go from grinding the wheat thru eating the bread. This is what you may expect from a man alone in the kitchen! Recipe modified from one found at: foodstoragemadeeasy.net Ingredients 3 c. very warm water (about 110 degrees) 1 T. instant or quick rise yeast 1/3 c. vegetable or canola oil 1/3 c. honey or ( 1/2 c Brown Sugar) 1 T. salt 1/4 c. gluten 6 cups whole wheat flour (hard white wheat is best) 1/2 c. whole oats (if desired) Combine first 6 ingredients and mix together. Add 5 cups of the flour and mix using dough hook. Add remaining flour until dough consistancy desired. Knead dough on counter. Cut into 2 loaves, form, and place into bread pans. Let rise until double in size (about 1 hour). Punch down, knead breifly, and return to pans to rise back again. Preheat oven to 350-375 (depending on your oven) and bake until golden, about 20-30 minutes. Would also like to thank Crystal with EverydayFoodStorage.Net for her great videos on using LDS Food Storage in many recipies, and also Minbound for showing that guys can rock the kitchen too!
